Platform governance Sociotechnical design Ethical Governance Moderation mechanism

Hi, I’m Yunhee Shim, a PhD candidate at Rutgers University (SC&I).

My research examines how platform governance shapes user experiences, focusing on procedural fairness and transparency. Through studying moderation mechanisms, I conduct user research (both quantitative and qualitative) to enhance the ethical design of content moderation systems.

My current dissertation project explores how content creators are motivated to moderate comments and what outcomes they expect under the influence of platform attention economies.
